There are many foods high in omega 3 fatty acids both from animal and the plant diet. The most healthful of these foods is fish which contains large amounts of fatty acids, particularly DHA and EPA. Because of this reason, fish oil capsules are made which are good for promoting overall health and are also easy to consume.

Other foods high in omega 3 fatty acids are flax seed oil, soybean oil, hemp oil and some other plant oils. It should be kept in mind that plant oils are also rich in omega 6 fats which raise blood pressure and balance cholesterol levels in the body.

It is advisable not to consume plant oils in large quantities all at once. In addition to this, flax seed oil contains only ALA which is a long-chain fatty wholesale coenzyme q10 ALA is broken down into short-chain fatty acids also known as DHA and EPA in the body and these fats are then utilized by the bloodstream.

Flax seed oil is good for people who want to gain weight or those who suffer from stomach problems. It is especially useful for reducing inflammation throughout the body and is therefore recommended to elderly people.

Plant oils do not cause any side effects or allergies. They should be consumed by pregnant and lactating women but not at once. 1 tablespoon of liquid fish oil and plant oils is sufficient to be taken after each meal. If you already have high cholesterol and high blood pressure, then plant oils are not good for you.

It is advisable to find good quality fish oil nutritional supplements available out there. These supplements are made from pharmaceutical grade fish oil which is pure and does not contain any impurities, contaminants and heavy metals.

In addition to this, you are also advised to consume fish oil capsules made from the oil of the hoki fish found in New Zealand. This is because New Zealand waters are less-polluted and contain very little levels of heavy metals like mercury and lead. As a result, the oil extracted from the tissues of the hoki fish is fit for consumption and does not cause any side effects.
